Sarah Morris [Practice Manager]
Sarah has a background in Nursing & Midwifery and joined the Practice & the PPG in 2004. Sarah has thoroughly enjoyed working with the Patient Group for the past 15 years and remains both proud & astonished at what the group has been able to achieve. This has been due to the enthusiasm, hard work and commitment of the PPG members who are a fantastic group of Practice patients who volunteer to help to improve the Practice and always have the interests of patients at heart.
The achievements have been many & varied and have included patient surveys, support with IT projects, annual Health Forum events, the dementia café and of course the monthly patient information sessions. The PPG website has been an objective for some time and I am delighted that we have been able to finally ‘go live’.
Sarah’s interests include running & cycling & the odd triathlon & she is grateful for the support of both the Practice & PPG throughout the years of undertaking mad challenges.
Dinah has also been a patient at NCMC for over 20 years. With a background in Community Nursing, she now works at the Thornhill Church Centre as Pastoral Carer – a role which she loves. Dinah joined the PPG in 2006 and her interest is in Health Promotion and Dementia. She particularly enjoys the Health Forum events the PPG organise each year and also set up the ‘Welcome Cafe’ a monthly support meeting for carers and anyone suffering from memory loss which now operates from Llanishen Hub and run by Rose and Jenny, (See other PPG member profiles).
She says ‘It is an absolute pleasure to be part of the PPG team – we have great discussions, lots of laughs and there is a real enthusiasm to help the Practice deliver the best possible service. Whatever your area of interest, there’s bound to be a way to help to promote it. We are always eager to recruit new members, so feel free to get in touch if you are interested in making a contribution to the life of the Practice. We’d love to talk to you!

I am a cancer survivor, I’ve had extensive surgery as a treatment and as a result I have normal life expectancy. This is the reason I joined the PPG, because I wanted to give something back.
I help my sister with a small business doing sewing alterations. My interests are reading, classical music, gardening and sport – in particular tennis.
…Would you like to join the Committee? get in touch.
Before I retired, I was Assistant Practice Manager in a local surgery, a career which I loved. I had worked in General Practice for over 30 years, and had seen many changes, hence my interest in the PPG.
My hobbies are reading, gardening and travel.
I have only been a member for a short while but I think the PPG is a great way to encourage the working relationship and flow of ideas between the Practice and the patients.
Lynda Williams has been a patient of North Cardiff Medical Centre (NCMC) since the 1970’s. She has worked in Retail Management and then as a Training Officer for Tesco. Since giving up work she has explored various interests including computer courses Spanish, Interior Design and Hairdressing.
Lynda was born with a spinal condition called Scoliosis (curvature of the spine) and has had 5 surgeries since the age of 10 to correct it. This has led to having many experiences with Scoliosis including major surgeries pain management and counselling. As a result, Lynda along with the spinal consultants in South Wales set up a Welsh Charity called SWS Cymru – Support With Scoliosis, to help those affected by the condition in Wales. Lynda is also Regional representative for the National Scoliosis Association UK. Lynda is married and has two children one of whom also has scoliosis.
It is because of the help and support received from NCMC that led Lynda to want to become part of the PPG. Particularly after attending the Health Forum on Thyroid where she learnt more and discovered what services are available to help people who may be affected by Thyroid problems.
Lynda’s interests are: Scoliosis Pain Management, Pilates Wellbeing and Gardening.
